VTBF DRIVES FORWARD ON DAY 7 OF 2025 BACK-2-SCHOOL PROJECT, IMPACTING FOUR SCHOOLS IN ETCHE AND OYIGBO LGAS

The Victor Tulutu Briggs Foundation maintained its relentless pace on Day 7 of the 2025 Back-2-School Project, delivering essential resources to four schools across two Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Rivers State: Etche and Oyigbo. The distributions equipped pupils with foundational tools and honored teachers, propelling the nine-weekday effort closer to its goal of supporting over 17 LGAs and fostering educational resilience in the Niger Delta.

The outreach began in Etche LGA, where the team provided school bags, exercise books, and stationery to students at two vital institutions: Community Secondary School, Ulakwo and State School Okomoko Egwi Umuanyagu, while gifting umbrellas to teachers for their steadfast service. These handovers in Etche’s rural and community settings created moments of collective relief for families, ensuring learners from secondary and primary levels could dive into studies without delay.

The foundation then advanced to Oyigbo LGA, extending the same core kits to pupils across Government Junior Secondary School Oyigbo and Government Community Primary, Umusia, complemented by umbrellas for their teachers. This dual focus on junior secondary and primary education in Oyigbo’s dynamic communities amplified the project’s reach, addressing immediate needs amid local economic realities and sparking gratitude from school leaders and parents alike.

With two weekdays remaining, the Back-2-School project stands as a beacon of equity, having touched thousands of lives across diverse terrains.
