The Victor Tulutu Briggs Foundation charged into the penultimate day of its 2025 Back-2-School Project on Day 8, outfitting three schools across two Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Rivers State: Port Harcourt City and Okrika. The distributions supplied pupils with indispensable learning aids, edging the nine-weekday initiative toward full realization across over 17 LGAs and solidifying its role in bolstering Niger Delta education.
The efforts opened in Port Harcourt City LGA at the Police Comprehensive Secondary School, where school bags, exercise books, and stationery were distributed to secondary students.
The team then navigated to Ogbogbo Town in Okrika LGA, delivering the core kits to pupils across two community anchors – Community Secondary School (UBE) and Community Primary School. This paired outreach in Okrika’s coastal enclave addressed needs from primary foundations to secondary advancements, offering timely relief to families in the area’s trade-driven economy.
With few target beneficiary schools left across communities like Tombia, Degema, Kula and Bile, the project nears completion, having ignited educational sparks for thousands in Rivers State.
