The Victor Tulutu Briggs Foundation, led by its President, Hon. Dr. Victor Tubotamuno Abiye Briggs, successfully empowered 600 elderly men and women in a heartwarming event held yesterday, November 04, 2024.

This initiative, in honor of Dr. Briggs’ late mother, Mrs. Asikiya Opu Lawson, and grandmother, Madam Chizaram Briggs, aimed to support individuals aged 60 years and above, with 400 slots allocated for women and 200 for men.

The atmosphere in Abonnema was filled with joy, laughter, and heartfelt prayers as the elderly beneficiaries expressed their gratitude. The event was marked by a sense of community and celebration, with many participants praising the Foundation for its dedication to improving the lives of the elderly.

The President and members of the Foundation were present to personally distribute cash empowerment packages. The beneficiaries, overwhelmed with emotion, offered prayers and blessings for Dr. Briggs and the Foundation, thanking them for their generosity and commitment. The sight of so many elderly individuals receiving much-needed support was truly moving, and it underscored the importance of such initiatives in the community.

One participant at the venue, Mrs. Ngoba Briggs, poured encomium on the President and prayed fervently for the Foundation.
