Katsina, Nigeria – February 17, 2026 – In a heartening display of philanthropic commitment to education, the Victor Tulutu Briggs Foundation (VTBF) has successfully rolled out its Season 9 Free JAMB Registration Scheme in Katsina State, providing free UTME registration support to scores of deserving students across the state.
The nationwide initiative sponsors 2,500 indigent candidates for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), removing a major financial barrier for families struggling with the cost of JAMB forms, which typically run into thousands of naira.
In Katsina, the scheme focused on inclusive distribution, with beneficiaries including students from the Government School for the Blind and the School of Special Needs and Persons with Disabilities. One standout story is that of Abdulrasaq Muhammed, a visually impaired student from the Government School for the Blind, who publicly thanked the foundation in a video testimonial shared widely on social media.
“I thank the Victor Tulutu Briggs Foundation for this opportunity to be a beneficiary of the ongoing 2026 Free JAMB Registration Scheme. It means everything for someone like me,” Muhammed said.
