Nigeria, 30 January 2025 – The Victor Tulutu Briggs Foundation, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Nigerian youth, has announced a strategic partnership with the Center for Legal Support and Inmate Rehabilitation. This collaboration aims to sponsor inmates across Nigeria for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination for the 2025 examination year.
This initiative is part of the Foundation’s “2000 Free JAMB Program,” which is designed to provide educational opportunities for disadvantaged youth. The program seeks to bridge educational gaps and offer a second chance for inmates to reform and reintegrate into society.
Dr. Victor Tubotamuno Briggs, Founder and President of the Victor Tulutu Briggs Foundation, stated, “Education is crucial for unlocking the potential of our youth, irrespective of their circumstances. We believe this initiative will not only empower inmates but also contribute to reducing recidivism rates and promoting social reintegration. Our partnership with the Center for Legal Support and Inmate Rehabilitation underscores our commitment to empowering marginalized youth and advancing rehabilitation through education.”
The initiative is expected to positively impact the lives of inmates, their families, and the broader community. By facilitating access to education, the Victor Tulutu Briggs Foundation and its partners aim to reduce recidivism rates, promote social reintegration, and foster a more inclusive and equitable society.
