As the registration exercise winds down, the Victor Tulutu Briggs Foundation (VTBF) has successfully concluded its Season 9 Free JAMB Registration Scheme across the South-South and South-East geopolitical zones, with Port Harcourt, Rivers State firmly established as the strategic coordination headquarters.
Hundreds of promising yet financially disadvantaged youths from Rivers, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Edo, Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo States can now look forward to the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) without the usual money worries, thanks to the foundation’s full sponsorship of their forms.
In line with VTBF’s ambitious nationwide programme, the organisation has shouldered the entire registration cost for 2,500 indigent candidates countrywide; single-handedly erasing the burdensome expense of JAMB forms that frequently run into thousands of naira and routinely force talented children from modest backgrounds to put their higher-education aspirations on hold.
The initiative has sparked widespread joy, relief and deep appreciation among the students, their families, school authorities and community stakeholders throughout the two zones.
